Skydive...

My nosedive issues are more or less gone.

But recently I had som skydives instead.

I just checked my mag and two of them the front lips have increased to 0.400"

Is this probably the cause or should I look for more?

I remember someone told me that it could also happen when mag springs where bad or to loose compared to an hard recoil for example.

Any thoughts?

Of course Im going to pull them in and try. But just if there is other things to check when first at it.

I had the same issue every once in a while. I checked my feedlips and they had opened up a bit. If you are full length sizing your brass with a glock rx die or something similar you will need to adjust your feed lips to .395 or so. I adjusted mine and have not had one issue since. If you are using Cha Lees method you might have to adjust your feedlips even smaller. He is pushing his cases through the Lee U die, I am pushing mine through the regular Lee sizing die.

I have pressed them back to 0.395" so Ill see next time.

Just a friend told me it coud be mags springs that where to soft...

I use the U-die as normal.

But these cromed mags are not good, they crack up and lips opens easy.

Have one blued, and that sticks.

My blued mag is put down to 0.390".

So far it works 100% with both normal u-die load and CHA-LEEs method. So when I need max capasity I get 19 there.

On my setup when undersizing the whole case with the EGW-U Die (Bringing the case down to .415 size) I keep my magazines feed lips between .380 - .385 wide. If they get bigger than that you will start getting jams at the top of the chamber. The thing that sucks about the EAA/Tanfo mags is that they are fairly soft. If you drop them with rounds still loaded the feed lips will get pushed out wider. This is especially prevalent when dropping mags onto hard surfaces.

Since the magazine feed lips can get spread out when dropped, I carry 10 magazines with me to every match. Then as I drop them while reloading during a stage run I will put the dropped mags in my bag and not reuse them during the match. When I get back home I will clean and validate the feed lip width of all the dropped mags before putting them back in service. I don't like screwing around with my mags at the range so I choose to take enough mags so I don't have to mess with any of the dropped ones.

I need to get more mags....

I only have one blued mag, and that is way better.

The chormed crack up in the back and the lips fly out just looking at them :)

Im getting some mags now from Henning, hope they are blued and of the old style.

But will try the new 10 and 40 also when I get the chance.

Know you have testet the 10 with no luck. Just have to see how the 40 mag turn out then.

My understanding was that the new MecGar 10mm work perfectly ... when loaded up to normal max capacity of 15.

It's trying to go past the factory capacity to try for 18 or 20 with the extended magpads that problems occur due to the magbody bowing out and making reloads hard/impossible.

Jupp, got that :)

Maybe its possible to modify the body a little to get rid of that problem.

Im still going to give it a try. But putting more hope in the 40 mag :)
