Singlestack
I have not seen one yet I would want to race with. They all jam from time to time. I would recomend a real .22 for Steel Challenge.
bobbleeye
I have had both the Ceiner and the Marvel, Marvel is far superior, but as stated azbove they all have problems from time to time, very ammo sensitive
ParaGunner
All the conversions jam,if you want a good pistol get the GSG 1911 22LR pistol. It cost just about the same amount as a conversion, but you get a entire pistol. They run great too.

It's a series 80 and only has 10 round mags,it should be legal. There is already a few threads here about the GSG 1911,do a quick search.
chirpy
S&W is making an M&P in .22 FWIW Richard PS: I have a TS for one of my SS 1911's and they make one for STI/SV's and Glocks.
wide45
I have one of the old Colt conversions. Shot several Steel matches at my local club last year. Gun never burped. Won my division. Edited May 13, 2011 by wide45
Jaxshooter
I have two Marvels on dedicated frames. One is a double stack on an SV frame, the other is a SS on a Caspian frame. Both guns run without problems as long as I feed them CCI Standard Velocity ammo.
DJM725
Around here Marvel’s stuff is considered king, don’t think you’d be unhappy with his gear.

EurAzn12
I have a Kimber conversion kit, you'll have to modify the mags if you want it to fit in a 1911 with a widened magwell. It seems they were designed to fit flush into older 1911s and flare out on the bottom. It really liked 40gr high velocity .22lr, but there were a few FTFs, I'm positive it was due to the spring pressure not being strong enough to push a round up as fast as the slide returned, thereby jamming the fresh round at an angle into the chamber... but it was accurate out to 50yds and it has the same adjustable target sights I'm used to.
