Jeff686
In preparing for a large local match with some stages requiring up to 70 rounds, I realized that I have no way to easily carry speed loaders and moon clips for my revolver. Considering others carry extra magazines in pockets and stuffed in their belts, I might have a similar solution, but I don't know if it is legal. I have a pouch used for trap shooting. It holds a box of shotshells. Can I put this on my revolver rig and fill it with my speed loaders and moon clips? Assuming I pass the 'jump test' described in the rule book, is this legal? Thanks! Flexmoney
If you are shooting a 70 round stage...don't even worry about it. Do what you gotta do.
rhino
I agree with Flex$! And I'm envious ... I wish I could shoot a 70 round course of fire again some day!
BDH
And I'm envious ... I wish I could shoot a 70 round course of fire again some day! Rhino, you shot a 70 round stage last year at the Hoosier 3 Gun. The only issue was that you probably shot 35 rounds through one target!
mactiger
You can carry your speedloaders in a pouch on your belt if you wish, and be within the rules. Here's the relevant rule: (from the new rulebook) 5.2.4 Spare ammunition, magazines and speed loading devices should be carried in retention devices specifically designed for that purpose, to reduce the risk of loss during a course of fire. Hope this helps. Troy

I got at least one A hit on that target too! It's not the first time and it won't be the last ...
BDH
Hey ... I got at least one A hit on that target too! Yes, but has your barrel cooled off yet? Oh, that's right, it was 35 degrees outside so probably no big deal.....
Skywalker
A 70-rounds COF? What's that? An endurance test? A shoot-out torture test for your guns? How are you going to time that stage? With a calendar? Now, seriously, welcome back BDH, we missed your presence in the Rules forum!

Vince Pinto
Assuming I pass the 'jump test' described in the rule book, is this legal? The "jump test" no longer exists in the current rulebook.
