Tacblack
I was putting new springs in and notice fractures in 4 of 5 mags along center line inside. They are not real new and some have been replaced over the years. Never had the replaced ones do this thou. Would I be better off using STI mag bodies I have heard people way they are more rigid and last better? Will they work just fine in my SV?
shred
This is where they're welded together. STI and SV mags are made in two halves (stamped, I suspect), then welded lengthwise down the center of the front and back. If there are big gaps in the weld, send 'em back to be replaced. Loves2Shoot
Send me your cracked SV's and I'll send you STI tubes. PM me if you are interested.
Duane Thomas
Are you sure you're seeing fractures and not just the weld line?
