Paul-the new guy
After trimming and de-burring a couple hundred pieces of .223 brass this weekend I am pretty close to talking myself into a dillon trimmer. My real question is, could I mount it on a single stage press? I already size my rifle brass on the single stage, which is in the garage and I do all of the trimming and primer pocket reaming out there also. This keeps all of the brass shavings out of the "gun room"
Too_Slow
Yes you can and it works fine that way. Brian

ScottyPotty
Yes, it works fine - probably better then on a progressive press. Ive done about 5K on the single stage. Edited May 1, 2011 by ScottyPotty
mleeber
Look at the Giraud trimmer.... It is a stand alone unit that works very well and is not any more expensive than the Dillon (if you consider the addition cost in dies and such). The Giraud trims off the shoulder which is the critical length anyway. It also inside and outside chamfers all in the trim step.
