I did a search but could not find the answer. I want to get the Dawson Mag well but need too find out if the stock base pads on the 10rnd mags will fit in it. Anyone know. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Do fly before you buy. People love the Ice, but it does come up farther on the gun than virtually every other magwell on the market. It may or may not screw up where your gun naturally aims for you. Something you should know before spending $80.

[Edit]

Oh yeah, it worked fine with both my Dawson and STI base pads.

Thank you very much for the answers. I am using a Para-Ori. and I tried the Ice on a friend of mine's gun. No problem with the aim. I just forgot to ask him if the stock base pads would work. Thanks again all.

P.S. Drifting on me own thread. Like the new website Eric.

Thanks Paul. Enjoy the Ice. Don't ding it all up like I did. :P

Well I actually hope to have it look like a certain military shooter we all know. But we will see. Going to shoot my first match this month so I dont think I will get it and get it on before that but after.......................... Kinda like the gun that I lost the triva question on LOL. Ya remember. The one that you just think is awesome LOL. Thanks again for all the help.

My 10 round STI mag does not work with my ICE with either the Dawson or STI pads.

I should clarify this, the mag does not easily lock into place. I have not tried to force it or modify the base pads yet. When I insert it, it does not want to set properly so I do not force it.

I do not have problem with my large cap mags.

I can get my STI 10-rounders (38 Super, sawed-doublestack style) to seat with an Ice magwell, but they sit way up in there with the stock basepads, and are hard to seat so I only use them for steel when it doesn't matter..
