Optics for 1911 or glock 19 pistols

Hello, what is a good red dot sight for a glock 19 and kimber eclipse full size pistols. I usually shoot idpa; however, I'm looking to shoot at the nearby clubs and want to take advantage of optics for concealment carry. I play alot of golf so I need something that I can rotate alot with and will not show with just a shirt over the gun. Thanks, Don

The leading contenders seem to be the trijicon rmr and the leupold deltapoint. They are both great choices, you just need to see/try both to see which you like more. Neither of these optics are very big, but your comment about cover garments brings up another point. Neither of the two guns you listed are really the best choice for concealment under a t-shirt or polo. If you don't have a choice, the glock 19 would be my choice, but since it's my primary carry, I might be biased. I can tell you from personal experience, however, that it's too big to conceal under anything but the biggest t-shirt or polo. I wear a medium shirt normally, and the only t-shirt I've successfully concealed it under was a xl. YMMV.

The 19 is without a doubt easier to conceal. I like my 1911 though and there is no open carry in Texas unfortunately in case the gun shows. I usually untuck my polo when I'm golfing or at the golf range.

I was thinking maybe the g19 would be the best conceal and throw some optics on. I just don't shoot the glock anywhere near as well as the 1911 and the 1911 has a little more stopping power. Never want to use it but would rather be able to protect my family at all times rather then huddling in the corner and waiting for the police to arrive.

That and I am big on 2cnd amendment and USA made. Of course though, thanks for the info. I'll check those optics out. We have a small Tuesday steel match here. I could practice more with the glock at the local matches and clubs. I'd have to modify one of the guns we have already. Wife won't sign off on a new gun and optics.

Besides, next gun should be a 2011 or AR!
