W_Buck
Does it really make a huge difference? What are the pros and cons?
burningsquirrels
have you shot an sp-01 and a 75b back to back? i'd imagine it'd be along the same lines with having less weight up front.
eerw
it changes the balance of the gun, moving a lot of weight from the end back towards center. if available..Sp01 vs 75B or STI Edge vs STI Eagle
W_Buck
I really like how my shadow feels, I guess I'll just leave the dustcover on the TS alone.
carbon9
I have shot a full size TS, a shortened dust cover TS, a Custom Shop Shadow with TS slide, same Custom Shop Shadow with Shadow slide and a SA 75 Longslide(TS slide) back to back. Both the shortened dustcover guns were more nimble, faster to transition and seemed to point better even over the Custom Shop Shadow with and without the TS slide. With hotter ammo they did snap just a little more but the front sight also came down into place much faster. With ammo tuned for them they should be even better. YMMV edited to add: I keep seeing a shortened TS frame here in the classifieds(don't know if it is still there), it might be worth picking up so you can try both and see what you like without making an irreversible change to your existing TS. Neomet
I had the frame on my TS shortened and completely agree with Carbon. To my mind much better, but as with most things in this sport it depends on your preferences.
