SamG
Getting ready to build a .308 AR for Heavy Metal 3-Gun. Since I live in California I'm limited in my choice of lowers. Looking for recommendations: Brand? - have seen CMMG and Fulton locally for around $350 but I'm not familiar with those manufacturers. Armalite or DPMS pattern? From what I have read DPMS pattern appears better because of magazines? I have several AR-15 triggers (JP, Geiselle etc.) that I would like to reuse if possible. I just heard that he took it to a match over the weekend and it worked flawlessly.
ERIC
I helped my brother build up his 308 with a JD Machine lower and upper. It is a nice looking set. He's the SoCa area and saw them at a local gun show and picked it up at their San Diego location.
supreme135
I just built the Mega receiver match set 308. You can use DPMS or Armalite parts using DPMS patterned mags. The receiver gives you more options than most. It is worth checking out
supreme135
Sorry, one more thing. Contact Rainier Arms, they are a mayor dealer for Mega
warpspeed
The Tactical Machining lowers are very , very nice. There was a group buy on calguns.net and the ones I got were perfect. Price is very good and they are DPMS pattern.
bagdrag
If I were to buy a lower again, I'd buy a matched upper/lower set from SI Defense or JD Machine. Tactical Machining does offer an unbeatable price afaik.
