7mmb
I purchased a Witness Elite Match in 9mm last month. I ordered it off of Davidson's gun genie. Judging from how fast their latest batch went I think my gun is likely new production. Anyway, it shipped with a front spacer mag with orange follower. The first few hundred rounds went through it with fully loaded mags no problem but yesterday it started doing the nose dives with more than ten rounds loaded. I've trolled through all of the mag posts on the forum and know what to try to fix it. Since I bought it as a range gun it's not even that big of an issue for me. Just thought some of you would like to know that the 9mm Elite Match is still being shipped with front spacer mags. My real question is everyone's thoughts on additional mags. I'd like to get just a couple more. Should I order new ones from EAA? What's the word on the Mec-Gar mags? I've looked at their website and want to be sure that they are for the large frame. Anyone have new Mec-Gar mags and do they solve the nose dive 9mm issue without having to tune the lips or swap out followers and springs? Going to try to call Mec-Gar tomorrow and see what they say. Probably ought to just get some Mec-Gar's if only to report back if they're any good. Thanks guys. Love the forum!
Nealio
So to summarize: Some new guns are shipping with the new mags (made my MecGar), I don't know why yours wasn't That mag you got is the "old" old version. They made a limited run of in house mags that were decent, but not as good as the MecGar (I call these the "new" old mags) You can just call EAA and order these new mags (made by MecGar), many people have done it and got the right ones. $25/ea if you buy 2 or more. The new mags (made by MecGar) are flawless

Joe4d
I would make sure you send the non working front spacer mag back and demand at least one of the new ones in exchange.
