wooddog
I am trying to put together quick moving stages, with some degree of difficulty and minimal set up (limited personel AKA: often set up alone) Shot gun Slugfest.ppt Edited April 23, 2011 by wooddog
Dan Sierpina
Tim, Is this going into one of the pits? June match? It looks okay, but, I know what your range is like.
wooddog
Yes, I was thinking of pit three, which is 75 feet long by 35 feet wide
LT45
I edited your WSB... should be a bit more bullet proof. Hope this helps. Shot gun Slugfest Mod_1.ppt

LT45
Thanks for the edit. More concise. You're welcome... I have been made painfully aware that if you leave even the tiniest hole in a WSB... some creative shooter is going to drive a truck through it... and that can make a mess of your best intentions. StealthyBlagga
The stage looks like fun, but I have some suggestions if I may: 1) Be more precise on the start position, particularly how the shotgun is to be held (otherwise you will have someone start aiming at the target with their weak hand almost touching the forend). 2) Write the procedure as a single flowing sequence exactly as you want it to go. Eliminate redundancy (like number of shots, which are stated elsewhere). 3) Stipulate clearly on the WSB the penalty for shooting a popper with a slug. Per USPSA rules, the penalty in this case would be a match DQ (Rule 10.5.17). 4) I like to identify targets unambiguously. In this case, I suggest you use a small "s" prefix to identify shotgun targets, and a small "p" prefix to identify pistol targets. 5) During setup, watch for shoot throughs and splash from the poppers. 6) As this is being run under USPSA rules, why not use the standard USPSA WSB template ? It is something folks are familiar with, gives you a score sheet ready to use, and prompts you to insert all the correct information. Attached is your stage in this format, both as a Word.DOC file and a PDF. I hope this helps. Good luck with the match.
