Oh, I forgot to mention, My brother in law just got laid off for the same reason you did... he found a much better job with a much better company and feels that the lay off was a blessing from God... good luck and Happy Easter!

Give a place 5 years of work. Very rarely did I need help to fix anything. New boss is in town and I have a argument with a month ago and he finds a reason to let me go.

Damn. Hate to hear that.

2.5 years ago I was laid off just as gas hit $4/gallon.It was a good job and 3 days before bow hunting season opened. For two months Ihunted while putting together a reloading business. I started the business onJan 1. I took a contract job working for a very large local company in Februarywhile building the reloading business. I worked that for about 10 months andtook a full time job with a power utility company (I get to shoot at work). My wifequit her office job and works a very flexible job from home. Last November, mywife and I bought a partnership in a gun shop.

We started to use the Dave Ramsey money management methodabout 4 months before I was laid off (the writing was on the wall). We havesince paid off all debt including our mortgage and created nice college fundsfor our granddaughters. The program is tough at first, but it made sense to usand we stuck to it.

In other words, we are far better off than we ever were.I wish you the same success in a manner that lets you meet your goals.

Sorry about that Corey. My wife and I just started on the Dave Ramsey system. As long as we stick to our guns we should be debt free in 3 years except for the mortgage. I'm trying to get a job in a gun store now. I hope things work out for you.

Sorry to hear that. I definetly know the feeling. I got laid off 2 weeks ago, because the greedy company I work for, though they would make more money by subbing out the rest of the concrete on the big job we are on. I got a call Friday saying the competitors bid was too high, so we are going to do it , : Be on the job at 7 Monday Morning" Tis the nature of construction. Hang in there, I think things are really going to start picking up. On a side note, with the last 2 weeks, I was able to load over 5,000 rounds of match ammo.Gotta keep busy, or your mind will drive you nuts.

Bummer but ponder this. As other people have said one door closes and others open. I had a similar situation in Evansville, it forced me to evaluate and relocate. Within a year and a half I got the job that launched me in my trade in upstate IN.

I actually owe the adam henrey who did me dirty a big thanks for the fork in the road that changed my life for the better.

I have actually sent the sack a few emails over the year pointing out how well Im doing and getting ahead is the best revenge. :roflol:

You will be fine.
