DAA Racermaster with Tanfoglio

So I've been trying to run the DAA Racemaster with my Tanfoglio but it still feels like I can't get a clean draw. I've moved the position of the gun around a lot (turning the slide inward, rotating it forward, backward, etc). I think I had it in a good place, but then when I try to draw under "stress" it keeps hanging up.

Can any of you guys post pics of what your holster set up looks like with a pistol in it?

I'm getting to the point where I"m thinking about selling this DAA for a loss and going back to my Bladetech.. :(

Thanks!

Not a Tanfo, but I'm using a DAA RM for limited with a STI poly frame.

I had to fit the insert/trigger guard on mine so maybe yours might need a little something, something in that area. No special tools, just basic files and a little patience.

My triggerguard was slightly wider than the insert so I took a few thou off of each and the gun releases slicker than spit on a linoleum floor. Also, I completely disassembeld mine to look for binding/interference points and though none were obvious, I touched up a few surfaces just to be sure.

If it ain't that, you might post in the DAA vendor forum or on the CED/DAA website. It may take a while, but Saul or someone there responds.

How's your dry fire draws vs your "stress" draws?

If you decide to sell it, I'm calling dibs.

ETA: I'll try to get some pics and post 'em.

I found that I have to dial the tension WAY down with my Tanfoglio in the RM.

If I have the tension knob screwed in anywhere near as far as I do with my CZ (which doesn't even seem to be that far, frankly), I will get hung up on the draw. It's barely in there right now (for the Tanfo), but it works perfectly.

You're probably pulling the gun out to the side instead of straight up. Every bikini holster I tried would hang up unless the gun is held exactly vertical. If you have a video camera, mount it behind you a tape some slow draws and some fast ones. Slow down the play-back and watch what the gun is doing as you draw it from the holster. That will tell you why it is snagging.

If you're pulling the gun straight up and it still snags then try a little silicon spray inside the holster, the metal frame of the Tanfoglio could be digging in a little so the silicon make give it a smoother draw.

Ok so I moved the holster forward a little so the belt attachment is about where my coin pocket is. I then rotated the holster so the gun is aiming between my feet.

This seems to be be the best configuration so far and seems to draw nice. I also loosened up the tension so its almost nothing.

I think what I was doing was maybe putting some twist on the gun when it came out?

Anyway, I'll see how this goes.

The best pic I could find of what my setup looks like now is this:
