Chris iliff
Thought I'd post a vid and get some feed back. Thanks guys. http://www.youtube.com/user/fourtrax08?feature=mhsn This was the second stage of a great match at Riley. Kudos to Coach and staff for making it happen! On a side note, Coach's run on this stage was "beautiful" and took a second or more off mine! I just wish I'd captured it on the camera. The video is titled, CHRIS ILIFF WVPPS, I uploaded another video and I'm not sure how to link to the correct one yet. Chris iliff
That was a learning process up above and this link will be the video I initially wanted to link. My range diary is where I post all my video's. So you stage GURU's head there and give me your input, thanks.
Chris Keen
My only question here is why you decided to reload up front, just before you turn to retreat?
CHA-LEE
When you run to the first position you keep your grip intact and the gun is bobbing out in front of you in a half mounted position. This really kills your ability to run hard and aggressive. If you had to run all the way to the front then shoot, it would be better to break your grip and pump your arms to really get a running stride going. Then remount the gun right before you get to the shooting position. You do the same thing going into the last shooting position. I also agree with Keen on the reload. Why do the reload up front in the second shooting position? You have plenty of BB's in that open gun to shoot the first three shooting positions then reload as you are moving to the far right. Doing your reload after the third shooting position would have allowed you to really haul ass up and back from the second shooting position saving you a boat load of stage time. CHA-LEE
I also want to add that if shooting on the move reduces my foot speed or shooting speed significantly then its not worth shooting on the move. This also applies to shooting while entering and exiting shooting positions. Don't make the shooting or moving more complex than it has to be. Most people can shoot on the move, but knowing when is the key. I have sucked up valuable time over estimating my shooting on the move ability.
