southpaw187
if anybody has a 625 in a race master, i'd like your input. I just received mine in the mail. When the gun is holstered, and the locking switch is engaged, the gun is able to rock front to back and side to side while being retained. I'd say its moving about a half inch or so front to back, and a bit less side to side. It is not a rock solid connection like i thought it would be. I'm just curious if the ability to "wiggle" the gun while holstered is normal, or if there is something wrong with my setup. Just to be clear, the gun is being retained in the holster, so that's not the problem. The problem is that while the gun is being retained, it can wiggle around inside the holster. any input is appreciated. Southpaw
almostold
Mine rocks slightly about a 1/4" at the muzzle (if that). Your 1/2" seems like a lot - maybe call Saul?
robot
yeah that's a little weird. Mine rocks side to side just a little and you can make it tighter using the restraining screw. It never rocks front to back. That sounds like a big problem with the insert. Are you sure you got the right insert block to be used with the 625? Send Saul a PM or post a video of the rocking and some pics of the insert. that'll help!
southpaw187
I forgot to mention that mine is a left handed version. The insert block says 625 on it, so I believe i have the right one. How do I call Saul? Anyone have a number for him? Please reply here or shoot me a PM. Thanks. PS I'll see if I can shoot a video of my problem tomorrow. pskys2
I don't have a Race Master, but it's similar to a CR Speed. They have shims to take out that movement, anything like that there? You might try contacting Angus Hobdell, he sells a lot of Double Alpha stuff and is usually willing to talk.
