Shadows are great guns and this has fun factor of being a little different with the longer barrel.

buckonz
Due to the handgun laws in Australia and I think Denmark, models of the SP-01 Shadow are made with a slightly longer barrel - it think it's 0.25" or 0.50". Other than that is just the same SP-01 Shadow. There is a specific mention of this in the IPSC Production Gun List. Cheers, BuckoNZ
WARDOG
It's the very same model sold in Italy, I got it in 2010, it's absolutely identical to every other sp01 around, with a slightly longer barrel, I compared it to the basic sp01 (shorter barrel) of my shooting buddy, the only difference found is that the longer barrel make 125 pf with less powder charge, so you have a slight advantage in recoil and muzzle lift, I used the very same charges I used in my glock34 and made factor with my sp01, while my buddy didn't, other than that, no differences to tell. As a side note, the older sp01 of my buddy was MUCH better refinished, mine was a PITA to setup properly, I spent my time in the basement tinkering it, and now shoots like a dream.. How old was your buddys gun? I wonder if the Shadow will require tinkering as well?
WARDOG
Mine is a 2010 model, my buddy sp is a 2008 one. Much better finish, fit, and trigger pull, also, had the original straight trigger, a worlds differencefrom the actual round one.
