Soft case to hold AR and 52" shotgun?

Recommended Posts

Wow, 52" shotgun, are you sure? My Benelli M2 has a Nordic 10 round tube (it actually holds 11 Federals) and is only 49"

I use an Blackhawk drag bag.

I have the Safariland 3Gun bag (there are two flavors, one for 3gun the other not so much) and it holds my 20" Tac Optics AR and limited shotty no problem. It even has a zipper on the end that expands another 3 or 4" if I want to put my open shotgun in there.

My only grip is that there aren't any straps on the inside to secure the guns from moving. Other than that, I like it.

I am really happy with my 5.11 bag, but I don't know if they make one long enough. My SLP is a tight squeeze with it. You may investigate what Dan said and unscrew your tube on the way to the match. It may seem like a little bit of a pain, but then you can buy the bag of your choice, and not be limited to the only bag out there in that length.

Ok, I think the Safariland case I mentioned above will work for you.

I put my 48" (OAL) shotty in there, with a speed bead case behind it. That overall length is almost 52.5". Pics to show you how I had to lay it:

Plus just to give you a reference, that's my 20" AR and 24" M2.

Hope that helps.
