Bansheex
I got a good deal on a Glock 31 in 357sig. She shot it and it's a bit much for her, so I was thinking about doing a 9mm conversion. She want's to shoot steel with it (she has been wanting to shoot my 9mm open gun more and more) so I thought I would use do up the Glock for her. What do you guys recommend doing other than a trigger job? I want to keep the recoil as low as possible.

Once I got the load right I have no kind of issues with it,knock on wood. If not try what I did to my G35. FO front sight with non adjustable rear, maybe a magwell, and lighter recoil spring, maybe a 13 lb with a 9mm conversion barrel. If she doesnt like it you will have a fun shooter will low recoil! Bansheex
I ordered a Wolf 9mm threaded barrel, and a 9 port comp. The guy at Wolf said with a 11 lb recoil spring it should shoot great for her recoil wise.

I even tried a 11 lbs spring and it woild FTE consistantly! Now my major load with the ISMI 13lb spring rocks. Pretty flat and if I played with the load I could probably make flatter. Bansheex
What are you running for a major load? On my XDM 9mm open gun, I'm loading 124gr MT Gold fmj with 6.5grs of Autocomp at 1.140 oal. They are around 1250fps

They are around 1250fps 124GR Jacketed HP over 8.2gr of HS6. OAL is at 1.125. I came to this OAL after getting my hands on some +P rounds from Double Tap that ran awesome through it. I did chrono them some time back but now I dont remember the exact fps. I will look and see. Now my Limited G35 I am just running WWB and it has been working good and I like the recoil with the 15lb spring. I might work up a load for it but dont know yet. I can get boxes of .40 WWB in 100 for 23 bucks right now so taking advantage of that.
Bansheex
Got the 2 mags I ordered today so I'm hoping to go the the range this weekend to do some testing. I will start out light and work my way up. We do have a Chrono there to use, so that will help a bit.

Bansheex
Yea I know, that's only a PF of 155. I need to bump it up a bit more, but I'm seeing a little pressure on the primer. Edited April 16, 2011 by Bansheex
Bansheex
Went to the range today for some testing. The wolf barrel and comp worked great. I loaded some 124gr MT gold FMJ with 6.0grs of AutoComp. I was surprised how flat it shot! I think she will be very happy with it. Now I need to figure out what to use for an optic.
