Ray_Z
It sounded good. I hope I didn't bite a hog in the butt with this one. I just won it. Don't think I'll have my hands on it for a week or so.Can anyone tell me the difference between the normal p16-40 limited and the Todd Jarrod verson? I know that it already comes with a mag well on it. I like the sights better. The normal para rear sight has a roll pin in it that shears once in a while. Will the DP base pads fit in this mag well? What else should I get for it? Check it out. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=222235055
ParaGunner
You should buy as much ammo as you can and shoot the heck out of it.

GunCat
That mag well looks a lot like the Dawson I put on my gun (Picture)...so yeah, the Dawson base pads should work just fine. Edited April 7, 2011 by GunCat
ParaGunner
The DP basepads will work great,if you plan on using any other basepad you will have to modify them to work with your magwell. I used a belt sander to modify mine.

Thanks Roy I just got through loading a case of MG for my Edge. I hope this one is throated. Everything I've got loaded is at 1.2 COL My factory para barrel would only take 1.15 oal. You might have to have it throated to take longer ammo. Edited April 7, 2011 by Roy Hess

Ray_Z
Like a kid at Christmas, I can't wait 'till it gets here. I've got some extra mag tubes coming and I'm going to spring the bucks for the DP base pads. It sounds almost illegle to have 21 rounds of 40 in a limited gun. Is the Dawson mag well pretty much a drop in, or do you have to cut on the gun like you do with a S&A?
windscreen
It should be a drop-in, with no frame mods required. A few have had to a tiny bit of fitting for off-spec frames. Also, you'll probably want to use a file to blend the frame to the magwell. -Steve
Mark R
I have the SX16-40 Limited in stainless. TJ comes with his name on it vs 'Limited'. Dawson magwell installed on with no issues. Dawson base pads work also without issue. I also put a Cylinder and Slide 'CS-214' five piece trigger kit in it without issues. My SX16 came with bomar style rear sight and fiber optic front. Also put in a 12 lb recoil spring. It shoots great with Precision Moly 185 bullets, 4.0 grains of clays at 1.180 OAL. PF is 170, SD=5. DO NOT SHORTEN OAL WITH CLAYS or you will get case head separations. You'll enjoy it.
