Hennings trigger system

Henning has the short, medium & long trigger system. Does that mean that the "short is for a shooter with small hands or the length of the trigger shaft? I could not find that with a search, anf I did not see the answer on Hennings site. Thanks

Which of the Henning triggers equals the reach of the original Tanfoglio SA trigger? And does the trigger kit help in regard to a shorter overtravel/reset? Shorter being better.

I'm not sure, but by eye balling the pictures posted by Henning, I'm guessing that the medium Henning trigger will give you about the same reach as the original Tanfoglio single action trigger, but that is assuming that your trigger pressure point is the deepest part of the arc of the curved trigger.

As for the overtravel/reset, the flat trigger system lets you fine tune the the over-travel and the pre-travel. The holes drilled in the trigger that mount the trigger bar are at the same geometry as the original trigger. This shouldn't change the reset distance. If you want change the reset, you'll need to play with the sear leg and/or the trigger bar.

I don't have the Henning trigger, but I would hope that he uses a larger pin to connect the trigger to the trigger bar. That linkage is quite sloppy and I would guess it equates to 1/32" of extra pretravel and reset.

For the trigger pin, he uses a tighter fitting pin that removes the slop of the trigger pivot.

As for the trigger bar pin, it's the same pin that you have to trim the length a little bit to fit into the trigger. Nothing tightened up there.
