hf219
Area 8 is proud to announce that we will be holding fund raisers at various clubs within our area this year. With the permission of Lee's mom there are two attachments at the bottom of this page. Please take a moment to read Lee's letter and an article written about Lee and his family. Its the foundation for our area's fund raising efforts for the WWP. Thank you. Jesse WIlls reached out to me with a heart felt desire to help his little brother Lee. At the bottom of this page are two attachments. One is a letter from Lee Wills and the second is an article about Lee and his family. Lee is a USPSA member and a junior shooter in our area. Lee and Jesse Wills would like to help our Wounded Warriors and has looked to us for helping them do so. Our area will be holding fund raiser's at local clubs. The club and date of each fund raising match will be listed on this page. Participating clubs will be registered with the WWP. Each club will have some form of fund raising the day of their registered match. If you cant make it to your local clubs WWP fund raiser, no worries. Click on your local clubs name on this page and you will be able to donate directly to the WWP.You will be sent an acknowledgment letter from the WWP confirming your donation. We ran a fund raise last month which was who got to save the mat directors head. I believe we raised $200 from this alone. On June 4 we will be doing 2 fund raisers. What is certain is that Karl McKeever of GT Targets will be bring a seting up a seperate falling steel stage that will be set up andrun as soon as the first stage is torn down. It will be man on man. He will be setting up a fixed number of falling steel targets and a cross-over popper. Cost will be $5.00 to enter. If you are eliminated you can reenter one time. Whoever is left standing will get 50% of the pot and the balance will go to Wounded Warrior. Also, the match fee will be raised somewhat (sorry I am not the MD so I do not know how much but I think it is either $5.00 or $10.00) and that money will also go to Wounded Warrior. We atre trying to get some publicity on the radio but I am not sure how that is going. So please, come on out and shoot the match with us.

hf219
Thanks to York Izaak Walton for driving in $670.00 for our WWP fund raising. We would also like to thank Topton F&G for bringing in $910.00 at their recent match. Melissa Rock donated $200.00 of which was supposed to go on her wedding center pieces. She decided that it was better to donate the money to a good cause then spend it on her wedding. Its just amazing what our area keeps pulling out of the hat. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to these events. Its a great cause and has certainly helped our Wounded Warriors. If anyone would like further information about these events or holding one in our area please contact me at hf219@comcast.net, Thanks H!
