midget
Alright, I'm a tinkerer... I ripped my gun last night and got to thinking, has anyone tried to weld a 2 piece guide rod onto the frame? Maybe I'm missing something, but this would eliminate the need for a shock buffer as well as help ensure that the slide moves the same direction every time... Seth
IMO its solving a non-problem. As it is, the use of a shock buffer is wildly contested. Ya either love them or hate them... but either way, you're creating complexity without need.
okshootist
You wouldn't be able to install the barrel.
shooter57
After you do it I hope you have a wall to hang it on with a sign that says don't do that again.
2alpha
You will need to invent some other way for the barrel to lock up because the feet and link aren't going to pass your fixed guide rod. There are straight blowback pocket pistols that can use a fixed guide rod, the barrel turns into recess's in the frame to allow the slide to come off the front. Joe4d
You already dont need a shok buffer, and my slide has always moved the same forward and back.
