3.8xdm vs standard 4.5 xdm

Does anyone have both, and can tell me if there is a difference in both accuracy and just how it feels.

I have both, they feel the same grip wise. The 3.8 has a shorter barrel.

Thanks I do realize the grip is the same I am more interested in the shooting characteristic. Also have you ever try to swap frames and slides to see if they work. Thanks

So I still cannot make up my mind 3.8 or 4.5 . I have a 5in XD if that helps at all. Thanks

My 4.5 is my Open gun. I just looked at both side by side and the frames are the same size. I don't see why they would not be interchangeable. The next time I have the 4.5 apart for cleaning, I will check it out.

The 4.5 slide fits on the 3.8 frame. I could not put the 3.8 slide on the 4.5 frame due to the rear sight is on the 3.8. It will not clear the Carver mount for the C-more optic.

As far as shooting them, I don't see much difference. The 3.8 shoots just as good as the 4.5.
