Erik S.
Hard chrome it. But IMO, hard chrome is butt ugly. I agree slide wear looks cool, but if you must, check out the nitride finishes.

redwoods
Post a pic to show us what it looks like. I am guessing you want some advise on some blueing touchup. Randy

Pro-Pain
I've used oxpho blue creme from Brownells. It's a cold blue, just brush it on and buff it. Never came out perfect but they helped. It's pretty nasty. Causes cancer in the State of California, according to the bottle. It's here: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1108/sku=082-124-004/Product/OXPHO_BLUE_reg__CREME

JerryShoots
Slide wear is cool. slide wear is cool. or duracoat pink... Fear not the man at the match with the dark black pretty slide. Fear the man with the ugly worn slide who has drawn, racked and shot his finish off. Fear him a lot. If you insist then you'll need some high end teflon stuff to end the problem like Springfield ArmoryCote or NP3 from Robar. As far as duracoat goes it's Barney Purple all the way!
