rupture
Is it possible to turn a limited .40 into a 38sc open gun. If so what would have to be done beside the obvious (barrel comp) Also the pistol is the limited pro with the da/sa trigger ,can I make it sa. CHA-LEE
The slide will have to be swapped because the breach face for a .40 is too big for a .38 Super. You can't just buy a slide from EAA either as they only sell complete top ends. So realistically you need to buy a complete .38 Super top end. Then if you want to convert it from DA to SA you will need to buy a SA trigger, sear, and hammer. All of this will cost about $700 to convert it from one caliber to another. This does not make sense when you can buy a whole new Limited Pro for $750. It would probably be more viable to simply sell your Limited Pro and just buy a whole new .38 Super gun.
