Loves2Shoot
A customer comes in wanting some help rebuilding a "gun that was found on the beaches of Iwo Jima" by his dad. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case, but I figured someone here might know what this really is, so here are a couple photos. He honestly was disappointing that it wasn't used in the war, and even more so that it wasn't even a real gun, so I told him I would try to get some info on it for him, since his dad has passed already. kaiserb
Well the CMC replicas were manufactured in Japan so someone could have lost it on Iwo Jima, just not during WW II
lrf
http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=344621 Found this thread on gunbroker. I would venture to say not worth much. No expert here though. The thread basically says a couple hundred bucks possible collector value.
JFlowers
So the poor fellow goes from having a WWII relic from a historical battle to a toy. Heartbreaking.
Loves2Shoot
Yes, he was crest fallen, as he was planning on restoring it with his son (the reason it was blasted) but it seemed to be missing some parts. Thanks all, I'll forward the link to him so he knows what he has.
