Glen
Hello all. A para p14-45 10 round magazine has a plastic extension on it to give it the required length. These are fragile, most especially on concrete. Does anyone know of a replacement for the factory plastic that will survive? I found a potential replacement from "Viper" at Brownells. Will it work? stingerjg
i know a couple of people that use the 'viper' mag pads from Brownells. they seem to work very well. They do add some weight to the mag though
Cameron
Dawson Precision also makes this part for about $20.
fastshuter
I tried Dawson Basepads with my P16-40 10 round mags but found that the plastic extension would break eventually. I switched over to Viper and haven't any problems the past couple of years dropping mags on cement or on the ground. I really liked the Dawson Basepads, now if they had only fitted like the Viper's. grassy knoll
the Viper base pads work very well, Reg is also making another version that is simpler to make so cheaper to us,
Glen
An update on the base situation. I got the new Viper BP-201 bases. They feel "right". Sturdy is a good word as well. The service from Reg at Viper is remarkable. Glen
Cameron
Dawson has a extension similar to the Viper. I have seen good things from the Viper, have not received my Dawson extensions yet, so I can't give a report on them.
