Jon Merricks
Great! There wasn’t going to be much competition in open here this weekend so figured we would take a road trip.
RKooi
C'mon down Jon, should be plenty of us shooting Open. We will have 6 or 7 stages that should require between 140 and 160 rounds. Weather report is calling for partly sunny and about 64 degrees. Any stage requests? I still have to finish a couple.
Jon Merricks
Being new to open I love 29 round courses with no steel We are going to have to get a room between Spartnburg SC and you any suggestion.
RKooi
We'll have some high round count stages...with plenty of steel! PM sent.
Shooter Grrl
Hmmm - we're needing a road trip this weekend too - our local club is doing 3 Gun! We were thinking about hitting Nashville... but if y'all are kinda close... So just where are you in GA?
cpty1
CGC is about an hour north of Atlanta in Gainesville GA close to the intersection of route 60 and I-985.
Shooter Grrl
Drats - looks like it would be close to a 5 hour drive, think we'll skip it
Jon Merricks
Now that was one helluva club match. John, I had a blast shooting well talking with you anyway. Roger, It was nice to meet you. If all of your sections clubs are like this one you really have something to be proud of. I can't say I'll make that six hour drive every month but I'll at least try it once or twice a year. Singlestack
Now that was one helluva club match.John, I had a blast shooting well talking with you anyway. Ditto. If all of your sections clubs are like this one you really have something to be proud of. They are. We are blessed with some talented stage designers (not myself, but I do try to help) in the Georgia Sect.
RKooi
Thanks Jon. It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I really appreciate the help getting that swinger to activate properly. We will need you to come down more often as it seems that is the only time Singlestack shows up to help with set up! Just kiddin' John, I appreciate all the help on stage 5. We had an awesome turnout on a beautiful day. I think 24 shooters in Open division is a record. A pretty competitive field with Mr. Sevigny, Larry Brown, J.L. Hardy and that cpty1 guy. I'll check on the posting of the scores as they were completed at the range.

PaulW
Jon, you are way to funny! All the time you wasted doing that you could have been dry firing!!! But then I would not have gotten a good laugh. And David shot an open gun???? Was it a Glock? LOL

Jon Merricks
Paul, After this weekend I think dry firing is all my guns good for. Not really but I do need to figure what was going on with it. David was shooting an SV. He is an awsome guy. I had a great time being squaded with him. John, I had to go back and add the last part. You are a hoot.
