bigbrowndog
Can i get some help on this one from guys with more experience, is it worth going to steel to avoid bending the aluminum one, when you have to clear a malf? I shot a great little prep match for smm3g, this last weekend in corpus christi, tx. and it was a suggestion that was made by another shooter, after we watched some other guy wrestle with his AR to clear a malf. If so where can i find one, and are they drop in, or is some minor fitting required. (benny, sorry i did'nt ask you this after the match, it would have been easier). thanks trapr

ErikW
What kind of malf. is going to bend the aluminum one? I've had some nasty, ugly death jams with the case between the bolt and the ch. han. I've had rounds stick in the chamber, but on those the thing to do is bang the butt against the ground while pulling gently. You don't try to man-handle the charging handle.
