SRT Driver
My wife gave me a copy of "We were Soldiers" for my birthday. It is the best Viet Nam movie I have seen!! Also, picked up a copy of the book and, so far, the movie is right on.
JD45
I read the book first and it was chilling. For someone like me who has never been in a war, it was simply overwhelming. I don't think that I need to read any more war stories after that one. It was that good. My mind took me to places that the movie didn't even begin to, but overall it was a good movie. I just strongly recommend the book first for those who like to read. One of the Sgt.s in the book is alive and well in my hometown. It makes me mad as hell thinking about all of our young guys that have suffered in war while rich fat cats sit in leather chairs in Washington. TriggerT
Great Movie. If I ever have the time I should pick up the book. I hear there are things in the book that the movie left out that are......interesting.
