tazdevils610
Would the 627 V-Comp be legal in prod. division, if you used the non-comped(sp) muzzle cap? Thanks In Advance Richard
slughammer
I don't know the answer about the V comp muzzle cap in production. I have however NEVER used the muzzle cap on my V comp and the accuracy is just fine.
Mover480
When the new rules go into effect in a couple months, you will be able to shoot any uncomped revolver you want (up to an 8" barrel length) in Production Division. The existing rules on holster type and position also apply. Moonclip holders need to be behind your front pocket.
underlug
I doubt and hope no one would ever ask, but the question would be "has it been produced in sufficient numbers?"
JohnL
Would the 627 V-Comp be legal in prod. division, if you used the non-comped(sp) muzzle cap? Thanks In Advance Richard I don't know if it is appropriate to the 627 V-comp but I have a 625 with a v-comp. I asked John Amidon about using the cap and he said it was good to go. Ray Chonlatid
ุPer IPSC 14th edition rules. 627 V-Comp permit to use in production. As long as the barrel up to 5", non compensator and weight which come with V-Comp model.
underlug
Anybody know of a production legal holster that fits the profile of the 627 v-comp? My other N frame holsters are too tight.
Ray Chonlatid
All holsters allow in Revolver Division, will also allow in Production Division too. I am using XTREME revolver holster from Universalshootingacademy via Shooter's Connection. What too tight holster you are using ?

underlug
My mistake. I did not think race holsters were legal in production. Are you sure any revolver division holster is legal in production division of USPSA? To be responsive, the 627 V profile would not fit any of my Bladetech or Kramer N frame holsters I use with my 625.
Ray Chonlatid
Sorry, I never seen Bladetech or Kramer holsters. So, no idea about your present holster. As for Production Div holster in IPSC 14th rules. I assure that whatever revolver's holster is legal in Revolver Div, will also legal in Production too. As for USPSA, see USPSA rules book Appendix E (sorry I have not in my hand right now). But I think that USPSA should be similar about this matter.
underlug
Production in USPSA generally precludes use of competition holsters. I did not know you were international when I read your comments. My excitement toward using my eight shot revolver in production has been muted by the increase to nine shots per shooting position now in USPSA. Though, I would love to use my CR Speed Holster in Production, I doubt that USPSA would allow it.
