Itunes & multiple ipods

I have two separate issues I need help with.

First I bought my wife an iPod Touch for xmas. She currently has an old iPod nano. I don't believe any of our PCs have a itunes and an account that is tied to that nano. How can I go about transferring everything off that nano and onto her new iPod touch? She is going to receive this iPod touch out of town while we are away on xmas vacation, I'd rather only drag my PC on that trip and have her be able to put stuff onto that iPod during that trip using my PC, but then transfer to using itunes on her PC when we return home, is there a way to do this?

Second separate issue. My parents have an iPad, it is currently using iTunes on an old slow laptop. Is there a way to transfer it to using iTunes on a different PC in their house? That iPad only has a few apps on it and lots of emails and documents.
