waynes_world_45 Posted November 30, 2010 Share Posted November 30, 2010 I am looking to replace the factory sights on my stainless, mid 80s vintage, Series 80 Colt Gold Cup. It has a staked front sight and the Eliason adjustable rear. What I would really like is a dovetail front fiber in red and an adjustable rear fiber in green. I have emailed SVI, Dawson, Colt, Fusion, and Wilson, but no one except Brandon at SVI has responded. His are Bo-mar cuts so my slide would need welded up first and then recut for the bomar cut. I really don't want to have to go that route unless unavoidable. My gunsmith can cut the dovetail in the slide for the front sight, which I will prefer because the staked OEM sight keeps falling out.
