ChopperDoc
After a few months spent building, tweeking my G17 open gun and a few range sessions in load development, I finally shot a USPSA match this weekend. Gun: Glock Gen 3 17 Storm Lake barrel Jaeger Comp JP magazine well & magazine extended release button Glockworx spring kit 3.5 # connector .25 trigger job 13# recoil spring on a wolf rod Grip tape Dr. red dot mounted in factory dovetail Taylor freelance Big Sticks (28 rounds!) 9mm Major Load: Winchester brass Zero 124 gr JHP 8.0 Grain HS6 1.155 OAL Gun ran flawlessly. This load makes 169 PF. I am still trying to slow down and get hits. I finished 15th out of 25 shooters. I’m still relatively a beginner to USPSA. I think this is my 3rd or 4th match. Just ordered a C-More from Midway (they are on sale) and found a good deal on a SJC mount & slide racker. kamann
Congrats I have a jager open kit en route. How did your dot behave with that load? Did it snap right back to target? Did it leave the lens under recoil? Thanks.

ChopperDoc
Congrats I have a jager open kit en route. How did your dot behave with that load? Did it snap right back to target? Did it leave the lens under recoil? Thanks. The dot stayed in the sight, the load shot pretty flat. But to be honest, I'm still learing to shoot the dot so I really have nothing to compare it to. I have a C-More & SJS mount on order. I liked the Dr sight but prefered a friends C-More so I am switching to that set up. Chopperdoc: When you get the SJC mount for your C MORE, you will have to have your ejection port lowered by John Nagel (SJC) and extractor & ejector tuned. The reason is because the mount will interfer with your brass clearing the ejection port. Causing ejection problems. With the DOCTOR you didn't have this problem. kamann
Nice looking shooter. How hard was it to screw the comp on the barrel? Did you have to lock it down in a vise or can you do it by hand?
ChopperDoc
Nice looking shooter. How hard was it to screw the comp on the barrel? Did you have to lock it down in a vise or can you do it by hand? It just screws on, Locks down with a small set screw. Too small if you ask me. I buggered mine up & ended up opening it up to 6-
