huskerlrrp
Would you mind sharing your load data with the AA#5, I might have access to some of that. What OAL were you using with the 124 TC? 5.7 & 5.9gr of AA#5 with 1.095" OAL. Still smokey, but not as bad as others...
CeeZer
You may wanna try Clays as well (not Univ. Clays), burning speed is same as VV N320, very soft and manageable recoil. I do NOT know how the powder would work with lead bullets thou. But compared to AA#5 and TG - it's noticeably softer. I compared those just last night One thing with Clays thou, flakes are much larger than TG, you need to make sure your powder measure will handle that. The reason TG is smokey with lead - temperature!!! TG generates much higher Temp!!! So, lube and some lead is evaporated. Go to hosp and check lead level in your blood if shooting lead indoor, a friend of mine had level very high and had to skip shooting sessions. I shoot plated Berry's thou Still have about 10K waiting to be loaded. Jody, are you shooting IPSC match in Montreal in a week? Redleg06
I also run the BBI 130gr at 1.1" over Solo 1000. Shoots very well and not too smokey out of my 85 combat and my Shadow Custom.
