tgford58
Does anyone have information on suppliers of 80% 1911 frames and bald slides? I've been looking unsuccessfully for 80% frames and especially basic bald slides. There used to be outlets for sub-$100 slides and 80% frames for personal builds. Did I miss something and the laws change? Thanks for any help.

G-ManBart
The description details might let you track them down. I know Dlask used to offer them, as did Tannery Shop, Sarco Inc, and KT Ordinance. http://www.gunsamerica.com/926827205/Guns/Pistols/1911-Pistol-Copies/80_1911_Lower_Frame_45ACP.htm

flip4179
I have a KT frame that had the ejector holes misdrilled so I got it cheap. From what I know KT did the run and there were a bunch of complications in heat treat batch. How dead set are you on having to be 80%? There is this guy http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/gunsmithing/fs-60ish-1911-castings-4140-17-4-ss-17-4-ss-w-rail-212649/ that is selling some castings that are closer to 10% than 80%. He is the only one I am aware of right now that has something going on. I think he is having them cast overseas and shipped, between the last batch and this one was a few months. Sarco for slides if you are wanting to tinker with one of their mostly completes. Edited November 10, 2010 by flip4179
