GorillaTactical
Hey guys, I am running 19 round CZ mags (the SP01 mags) with this extension so that they can work with the CZ magwell. Problem is, I am running the hardest magazine springs I can find for it (+10%) and still cannot get the slide to lock back consistently on the last round. I've put in a block in the extension underneath the spring as to fix reliability problems but I want to be able to maximize the full extension length and load the magazine to true capacity.....any suggestions? burningsquirrels
Is this in all mags and you are not riding the slide stop? I forget, but see if there is a diff in the slide stop block between the center post and corner post followers if you have 16 round mags. There is a part of the follower that is supposed to bump the underside of the slide stop to make it lock back.

I've run the CZ for about half a year and just upgraded to the longer mags. The followers are almost brand new and have been what i ran successfully prior to the extended base plate. I can tell spring tension is way down...I was just curious if anyone else had harder springs than CZcustom
JamesLovesJammie
Do you by chance have a part number on your mag springs? I am almost positive that CZ Custom's springs are Wolf. According to their sight, they offer a +5 and +10 spring for clones, which are equivalent to +10 and +15 in the CZ. You can check the part number on Wolf's sight. Maybe the +15 will keep it open. I noticed the same issue last Friday with AFC 13 rounders with the CZ Custom extensions. I am only running the factory springs at this moment. http://www.gunsprings.com/Semi-Auto%20Pistols/CZ/75%20Series/cID1/mID16/dID91

Skydiver
I'm glad that you found a solution to your problem. I'm wondering though why you need the slide to lock back? It seems like this gun is meant to be run in the Limited or Open division and the name of the game is to not run dry and be at slide lock.

Obviously so...but why wouldn't I want it to lock back if I can buy a spring that will make it do so?
