Show search results by posts, rather than threads?

Most forums let you show the results of a search by posts, rather than by threads. Usually you get a little preview of the paragraph that mentions the search topic. It's handy when you are trying to find where, say, "Barnhart" is mentioned in a a 5 or 6 page thread.

(I was looking for feedback on Barnhart's instructional series, and a lot of the search results were multi-page threads that would have taken a long time to sift through to see were Barnhart was mentioned.)

Maybe you can do this, and I've just overlooked how. If so, please point me in the right direction.

Click on the small cog to the right of the search bar, there is an option down the bottom to show the search results as Topics or Posts.
