dcarter
Ok folks, I don't know a lot about revolvers or shooting one in competition so I am asking you. If you were able to choose a revolver for competition what would you get? The "PLAN" is to have pistols for each division winner at the 2011 Ohio Sectional. We have all seen the posts and polls here. Some people prefer to award skill and some prefer to award everyone else who pays for the match to happen. I am going to try to do a little of both. I will have items awarded in a random draw for everyone who signs up and pistols for division winners. So, if you are a wheel gunner, make your choice here and then sign up for the match for a chance to win your pick.
Bill Nesbitt
I'd like to have a 4 inch Smith & Wesson Model 19, but I'm sure I'll be out voted. Bill
Pstmstr
I'd say a 4 inch 625 is the one that could be used in most of the gun games these days although an older nice 19 or 66 is tempting for me too.
Palmetto Sharpshooter
686 SSR Pro Series or 625 JM
ede
625, 617, or 686, the 686SSR is pretty sweet and not lot of places to compete with a 617.
steel1212
I would say the winner will be using a 625.
dcarter
Looks like the 625 get's the win. I will keep watching this post but will be looking for a 625. Thanks for your input.
pskys2
You may have trouble since S&W stopped producing the 5" 625. I'd recommend the following: 5" 625 5" or 6" or 6 1/2" M25 4" 625 Stay away from the PC guns they're not worth the extra bucks, and you would have to buy most of those above used. Get ahold of Carmoney, he can always track something down and best yet have him do a Chamfer and Action Job. You could probably get all of that for under $750. And it would be a gun that any serious IPSC Revoler would drool over.
