STI-Para mags

Is there any way to tell the difference between a STI-PARA mag and a STI mag?

The top of the mag at the rear is straight on the STI/Para mag and not curved like it is on the STI mags. I am assuming you are talking about the 140mm .40 mags. I don't know about the other calibers. There may also be some other external differences that I'm not aware of. Hope this helps.

Hello: The STI/Para mags have a small groove for the mag catch about 0.100" wide. The straight STI mags have a larger slot about 3/16" wide. If you know of any I have a friend looking for some Thanks, Eric

They look identical with the only exception being the size of the mag catch window. STI/Para windows are about .100" tall while the STI windows are about .160" tall. Other than that I can't see any other difference.

I am still looking for a couple of the STI/Para 40 S&W 140mm mags/tubes so if you come across any let me know.

I did notice the one I got has a small mag catch hole in it.I will measure it later and see what size it is.

The Para mags have a square-shaped notch on the top/rear of the mags. Standard STI mags have a U-shaped notch there.

Both of these are STI/Para mags.

the notch for the mag catch is in a different place and the made for para sti's sit a tenth of a inch higher in the gun them the mags for sti. The new svi mags have a different notch that might be able to adjust the mag when you fit the notch for the para mag catch. I haven't had a chance to try these yet but they are looking good.
