AGlock36
Well this may or may not belong here but either way. I have done a search and have found a lot of different drills out there in this forum. The one thing that I have not found is anything explaining the drills to someone that has never heard of them or seen them until now. I see a lot of different ways to do different drills from the bill drills to the el prez. Can someone either explain some of the more basic drills or direct me to where an explanation of them are. Thanks for your help in advance. Thanks again. Happy Shooting :D :D
Ron Ankeny
Have you seen Sam Conway's new book? It's a practice guide full of drills with an explanation of what is hoped to be accomplished. There are also sheets for tracking improvement. It's available through Dillon.
.40AET
AGlock36- Many of the drills that you see refered to are classifiers from matches. Classifiers are shot at most matches. The scores are submitted to the USPSA and then compared to every members scores to determine each shooters classification. If you know what your buddies member number is, then you can compare each others scores against a national database. Goto this site: http://www.uspsa.org/index.html , then click on classification info. Stage diagrams should show a picture of what the stage looks like. (I'm guessing, because nothing came up, old machine) There is a ton of information on the site. Including how to become a member if you aren't allready. AGlock36
Ron, No I have not seen that and this is the first time I have heard of it. I will definately check it out. Thank you very much for the reply. .40 So really what you are saying is that the drills I am reading about are actually classifieres that are shot to put you in a range of shooters. This being people are using them as a tool for skills but also to "bone" up for classification? Thanks for your help. Thank you both for your reply and have a wonderful day.
