dcarter
The crew is working on getting a web site set up to dish out info on the match and also working on setting up a match hotel. When I get the info on either I will post it here. I will be working on sponsors in short order. Matt Cheely has offered to build a pistol for us if I can garner some part together. One Shot in Newtown looks like they are on board. They are building a new indoor range and if it turns out anything like they are planning it will be fantastic. More updates as I get them. dcarter
A lot of shooters have had cars broken into while staying at hotels and attending matches. I will be asking Union TWP. and Milford Police for added patrols around these hotels during the match. However, I will tell you to not leave items of any real value in your vehicle. If you have a GPS unit put it out of sight and then clean the windshield. The "bad guys" only have to see the mark left on your window and they know you at least own a GPS and are probably too lazy to take it with you. Your shooting gear will just be a huge bonus to them. dcarter
We are still working on the stages and probably will not finalize those for a while. Also still working on the web site. I started pounding the pavement for sponsors and I have 6 confirmed in just 2 days. I would love to be able to put on a match like this every year. Sarge
I hope Dan does not mind me putting this out there. Camping will be permitted on the club grounds for the match if that interests anybody. Just let us know what you plan to bring in so we can get you squared away. Kevin

I was going to ask if I can stay at the range. Now I don't have to ask. I'm still working on sponsors and getting the stages done. We have 5 of the 8. As soon as I know more I'll post ASAP. dcarter
I wanted to hold off until I was sure I would be able to do this but here it goes: There has been a lot of talk on this forum about prize distribution at matches. I see the point on both sides. Should a match award the best shooters or give something to all the other people who pay for these matches to happen? I have chosen to do a little of both. We are having not one but 2 customs being built. One for the Open Division winner and one for the Limited division winner. We will also have pistols for the Production, Single Stack, Revolver & Limited-10 Division winners. The rest of the items that are provided by our sponsors will be distributed via a blind lottery to everyone prior to the match and will be in the shooters registration bag. Plaque awards will be distributed according to the USPSA rule book. The stages are a mixture of stages provided by the local clubs in Ohio to make this a true representation of the Ohio clubs. The stages are now done. All that needs to be done is having them booger proofed by our Range Master,Paul Hernandez. I will post them here as well as on the web site we are having designed. I am hoping to meet with the web designer today to discuss the look and feel of the site. I will post the web address here as soon as it is up and running. Get your applications in! I would like to limit the size of the squads to 12 (MAX)! That would leave us only 192 shooters for both Saturday and Sunday. You may be very dissapointed if you miss out. I will be working with Chris to get things set up for self squading on the USPSA web site. Updates as I get them.. DJ
dcarter
One more thing: I wanted to ask those who may be attending. Would you like to stick around for awards or should we just list the winners on our web site and mail plaques out? I like having an awards cerimony. I like getting my recognition in front of my fellow shooters but a lot of people don't want to stick around for one. What do you say?
