PJ BAD
They call this the worlds scariest job. I can think of a lot of things worse than that. That view is incredible.

pjb45
Generally, I am not afraid of heights. Ski lifts, crevices at the Grand Canyon, looking over the upper waterfalls in Maui. BUT this one had me getting a little uneasy. NFW could I even come close to doing that! Those guys have major balls.
sperman
Free climbing at 1000+ feet qualifies as scary to me. I've got butterflies in my stomach from watching the video.
Classic_jon
My Brother used to do that 1500 foot tower and got .68 a foot going up and .68 a foot going down :-D He was a skydiver and literally had no fear of heights at all.
dkleskiw
I wonder if they wear parachutes?
Pat Miles
I wonder if they wear parachutes? A parachute probably wouldn't do them a bit of good. They would be beat to a pulp as they bounced off of the tower during their fall. Pat

Pat That and if they didn't already have the drogue chute in their hand to make it release faster the main chute probably would not deploy successfully or would wrap around the tower or the guide wires. Chris Keen
I could do the climb up ...... but they would have to send a helicopter to come and get me back down! I'm not afraid of heights, it's looking down from that height that I'm afraid of.
benos
That is absolutely insane! I got all queesy watching - and I felt like I might pee my pants a couple times. You would have to have absolutely no fearof heights to that. That would not be me. be

maineshootah
Guys, Remember getting to the top is only HALFWAY there, you still have to get down.
GrumpyOne
I've climbed 500 foot communications towers before (I'm a contractor for AT&T), but that is totally INSANE! 500 is scary....500 foot seems like forever climbing up, especially with a harness (I have free climbed them before!), but believe it or not, the hardest part is climbing down. While going up, you are using mostly your legs to lift yourself up...On the way down, it's all arms. Literally, when I've got to the ground after climbing, my arms wouldn't straighten out, perma bend at the elbow for a couple of hours...
