Nordic mag extension

I have an M2 Field 21". From searching the threads, a lot of you have positive comments on the Nordic products. If I understand, the +5 tube gets me to 8+1 in the gun? Good place to shop that would also carry the bracket...Midway doesn't appear to have the bracket. And, do the Nordic brackets have the sling swivel slot?

Any other brand of mag extension I should consider?

Thanks

There are no other mag extensions you should consider. Nordic is a huge sponsor in the shooting sports and their tube is the best!

Briley does make a tube too and they do sponsor a bunch of shooting sports too.

Get the +5 tube, an extra spring or two, their bolt handle, and possibly the extended cap too. It is nice to be able to stick 9+1 in the gun at the matches that allow it after the beep. That extra round can save your a$$.

Brownell's has it all in stock. You can go to brownells through the Brain's site and help him out too.

I don't see the extended cap on Brownell's site. What about a larger bolt release...options?

I have only been able to buy the longer cap straight from Nordic. I think its a fairly new product.

I have a Noridc bolt release button on my M1 and an Arredondo on my M2 and I like the Arredondo better. I rack the bolt with my weakhand by dragging it back under the gun catching the Nordic bolt handle with my driving finger. When I use the M1 my driving finger sometimes catches the bolt release button which doesn't effect anything it is just annoying. The Arredondos button has a slope on the front and rear edges which makes it more contoured to the rifle.

The other option to check out of the Speed bar by Daves Metal Works. It is snag free, easy to install, but doesn;t stick out as far as the Arredondo or the Nordic which means it requires more effort to release the bolt. Sometimes more effort to release the bolt is a good thing though. I have bumped my large buttons and accidentally clsed th bolt when going for an empty gun load. Then instead of dropping one on the carrier and hitting the button to send it home I had to regrip the gun, turn the gun back over, then load the tube hit the shell realease or pull the trigger to get one on the carrier and then rack the bolt which cost me mor time than searching a little more and pushing harder on a small bolt realease.

Chris Patty who is a match sponsor of about half of the 3 gun matches will either have the Nordic items you need in stock or will have them for you quicker than anyone. His site is http://www.cpwsa.com/. If you do not see the Nordic item you need on his site give him a call as he has it all.

+1 on buying stuff from Chris! He is a great guy and does a lot to sponsor the 3 gun matches.

Another "plus one" for buying from Chris Patty at CPWSA. Chris is a good guy and has what you need, I usually get my stuff from him two days after I order it. Like Charles said, Chris sponsors many 3gun matches also. He has always treated me right.
