PHolsted
OK I just got my first Mac and I have only played with a Mac several years ago. So I turn on my new Mac and play with it for a few hours and so far so good. I like it. But I went to turn it off and well I have yet to find out how to do that. I'm so used to going to windows then shutdown. I keep looking for the button to say shit down but have not found it yet. I feel so dumb!
norbs007
You can press the power button and click on Shutdown or click on the Apple icon on the top left of the taskbar and click Shutdown.

prreed10
If you put 2 rounds of 308 through the center of it, it will turn off. Problem will be turning it on again...

Jon Clayton
Another tip for shutting down is to click the Apple in the top left of your screen, this will give the the finder menu with several tools including log off/shut down.
