Wanted
I havn't been doing much loading (or shooting lately) I have some 115gr lrn that I've shot in my Glock. They are a COl of 1.140 work fine. When I tried them in my P-38 they jammed. Tking the gun apart and looking I found they were not seating all the way in the chamber. So I made a few dummy rounds at 1.068. They fit pretty well in the chamber. ( I don't have a case gauge for 9MM right now) So I have to start a new load work up. None of my manuals have a lot of lead data. But anyway, am I on the right track here? Edited July 27, 2010 by Wanted

Wanted
Data Iv'e looked at for jacketed seems a bit longer too. Hodgedon suggest 1.100. I might try and see how it fits.
Wanted
I adjusted my dies. To 1.101, The cartridge seems to stick out pretty far. Anyone load for a Walther P-38 ? These are missouri bullets. Tomorrow I'll make a few and cycle them. (dummy rounds) Edited July 27, 2010 by Wanted
SA Friday
Are you sure your P-38 isn't chambered for 9x17? That's way too short an OAL for 9x19. I'm with JT on this one. Check the P-38's dimensions and chamber.
wanderer
not in a p38 but i've loaded 9mm to 1.000 and it functioned just fine.
Wanted
No it's stamped 9x19 and I've shot tons of 9mm out of it. I have some manuals for a COL of 1.100. So I'll try that.
twodownzero
Shortest I've loaded is about 1.115" Edited July 27, 2010 by twodownzero
Duke Nukem
Check the bullet diameter of the Missouri bullets. P-38s were made for jacketed bullets at .356 your lead may be .358 and is too fat for the chamber. I have shot jacketed at 1.16 in a p-38 without any drama. I adjusted my dies. To 1.101, The cartridge seems to stick out pretty far. Anyone load for a Walther P-38 ? These are missouri bullets. Tomorrow I'll make a few and cycle them. Wanted
They measure at .356. I have 147grLRN from another maker that work at 1.14, 124gr Berrys at 1.14, that work. I was told by a friend the ogive of this bullet is the culprit.
