TM262
I just purchased this pistol from a buddy of mine. The pistol had a good covering of surface rust and needed a detail cleaning. When I removed the grip, I discovered that the lug for the front grip screw was broken off of the frame. I am certain that my friend did not know the frame was broken and we will work it out. It appears that someone was a little mill happy on the frame. Can this gun be used in this condition? What are consequences of this type of frame failure? Thanks
Seth
If you have the lug, why not get it TIG'd back on?

yoshidaex
Tig welding it back on would be the prefered method but that area looks really thin from all that milling.

Pat Miles
Have it TIG'd. Have the welder build up the area around the lug to reinforce the lug but not high enough to interfere with the recoil spring. CYa, Pat
