WatchmanUSA
I'm just getting started loading for 308 and I need some advice on selecting a cost effective bullet to begin shooting. I'm not talking about a super quality match grade bullet here. I looking for a bullet I can use for general practice and shooting - 308 "plinking" if you will. My rifle manufacturer recommends 165 to 168 grain bullets. Any suggestions?
Outsydlooknin75
Honady A maxes are a great choice, or I think its the XTM bullet as well. I like the 155's but they make a 168 as well.

SHinck82
Hornady rounds tend to shoot great, if you want cheap rounds try the 150 FMJBT. I've gotten great accuracy out of my rifle with them. I know they aren't in your manufactures specs but going lighter shouldn't show any negative performance.
twodownzero
The privi bullets aren't accurate but they're good for practice.
