XDM40Rajuy
A friend of mine order what he thought was (IDP #5)180 gr lead tcfp from Missouri Bullets company. When he received his order he found out that he ordered 2000 (IDP #7)140 gr lead tcfp. He is not interested in reloading these light bullets , so he gave them to me. I can not find any reload data for these bullets. I will be reloading for a xdm 40. I have w231 as powder. Can someone point me in the right direction for a starting load. Also I want to start shooting IDPA this year. Would these bullets be good enough to be competetive or should I try a heavier bullet? Thanks, Rajuy
sargenv
I'd use loading data meant for the 135 gr Jacketed Noslers, use the starting load and then work your way up looking for pressure signs.
ryan45kim
Use 140gr lead TCFP bullets for practice. I get mine from S&S casting but I think they are the same mold. I’ve had good luck with WST powder, 4.5gr at 1.130 gives me 975fps. It matches the velocity and POI of my limited load and is ridiculously soft. I have also found it to be very accurate. I found this by experimenting, I’ve never seen this bullet in a reloading manual so proceed at your own risk.
