Adam Pini
Hey guys I just got a pound of VV N320 and Im trying to figure out a good minor load for my G35. Im using Hornady XTP 180 Gr with a C.O.L of 1.125. Any help would be amazing
Jman
My Sierra Manual has a load listed for 4.1 grains.(Lightest listed)At 1.125 OAL should be in the 850 FPS range. I also understand it's filthy. What's really AMAZING? The Sierra Manual. Jim
Pezco
In my 5" SV with 180 Montana's and N320 I go minor at 5.0 grs with WSP primers. The load is extremely clean and temperature stable! You will have to back down on the N320 from 5 grs, I would recommend 4.5 as a starting point depending how minor you want to go.
The_Vigilante
VV N320 dirty? I thought it was a clean-burning powder!!
G-ManBart
VV N320 dirty? I thought it was a clean-burning powder!! It is....very clean. I've made Major with a 5" gun as low as 4.6 or 4.7gr at 1.200" using a Zero 180JHP (similar profile to the XTP). At factory OAL I'd probably try something like 3.5-3.8gr hoping to get 800fps or so (144PF). R,
LPatterson
It is very clean at major velocities in a .45ACP but VihtaVuori does not recommend 320 in a 40 S&W with a 180gr bullet. YMMV
Jman
I thought everything you read on the interweb world was accurate. I recalled discussions "somewhere" that minor PF N320 loads are dirty. Zero direct experience with it. So, there's that. Jim
